He is an expert on IFRS for SMEs, Financial Reporting Framework for SMEs, US GAAP, COSO Internal Control – Integrated Framework, the Institute of Internal Auditors’ Internal Auditing Handbook, and global corporate governance codes (US SOX, UK, and South African Kings Report). He frees clients’ upper management of time-consuming financial and accounting responsibilities, enabling them to concentrate on core competencies. He provides expertise and experience for each step needed to develop SMART business plans and budgets. He helps clients develop a long-term strategic forecast and cash management system that supports any financing or capital-raising process. He also helps senior management and the board of directors make well-informed business decisions that are ‘right on the money’. He works to understand each client’s end objectives and align our solutions accordingly. His team implements policies and procedures to provide clients with essential controls over their companies’ assets. He further plays an active role in selecting and implementing accounting information systems.

Prior to joining JS Morlu, Salim held senior level positions in both the financial services sector and Health Insurance Services, where he supervised and reviewed credit function and portfolio management, implemented effective internal controls over Credit Administration, and ensured the company remained compliant with regulatory requirements. He has an expert knowledge of various programs, including Microsoft Office, Tally Accounting, Practice Manager 2000(PM2000), T24 Software, Zigloi Software, Collateral Registry Platform of Bank of Ghana, and Third Party Referencing System (TPRS) of the Controller and Accountant Generals Department.

Salim holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and psychology from the University of Ghana and is in the final stages of obtaining his chartered Institute of Taxation Ghana (CIT GH) designation. He is also a member of Internal Auditors (both Ghana and Global) and a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants Ghana (ICAG). He is also a member of Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, UK.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
